4CNW Creative Directory launch

10 June 2013 — EventsIreland

4CNW Creative Directory launch

We're delighted to announce that the 4CNW Creative Directory will be launched by Ireland’s Minister for Small Business, John Perry TD, at 2pm on Monday 17th June in Sligo, Ireland.

The 4CNW Creative Directory is a dynamic, interactive tool for web and mobile. A unique European service innovation, the Directory will increase creative industries access to the wider business environment and the European marketplace, by profiling 180 creative businesses from across Ireland, Northern Ireland and Scotland. The creative businesses listed on the directory will be filterable by location, name and and type of service allowing creatives to search for fellow creative businesses in their local area to form partnerships or share knowledge, while also allowing them to be found by local businesses who are searching for a particular creative service, such as photography, film making, graphic design, architecture or sculpture to name but a few.

Hosted by Conall Ó Moráin (Today FM, Sunday Business Show) the event will include a keynote address from Rasmus Wiinstedt Tscherning; Managing Director, Centre for Cultural and Experience Economy, Denmark and Chair of the EC European Creative Industries Alliance (ECIA) and an interview with one of Ireland’s best known Fashion Designers; Helen McAlinden with Joe Queenan from Foxford Wollen Mills to discuss the importance of creativity and innovation in business growth.

This is a free event. If you would like to attend on the day please email Ceolin Devaney cdevaney@sligococo.ie to secure your place and receive a full schedule for the event.

Free Discovery events in Ireland North West

17 January 2013 — EventsIreland

There are two free Discovery events being held in Sligo on Wednesday 30th January so interested business in the North West of Ireland can discover more about the 4CNW Talent Fund; a €100,000 innovation fund to encourage partnerships between creative professionals and businesses in Ireland North West, Northern Ireland and Scotland.

The events are short Information sessions designed to give you the opportunity to find out more about the fund, be taken through the application process in detail by the team and to hear from previous participants in the fund about their experiences. Members of the Creative State team will be on hand to answer your questions on the day, and the events are also a good opportunity to network with similar businesses in your area.

The Ireland North West events will take place in The Sligo Park Hotel, and are free of charge, though it is advisable to register in advance by following the relevant links below to book your place.

The Discovery Event for Business runs from 11am - 1pm, and the Discovery Event for Creatives from 2pm to 4pm

4CNW provides funding of between €1,000 and €5,000, by way of a talent voucher, for businesses in the Agri-food, Life Sciences, Technology and Tourism sectors to collaborate with a Creative partner. Applications will be assessed by an expert panel, with successful businesses required to match fund their 4CNW award creating a commissioning pot of between €2,000 and €10,000 per project. Businesses will then use this fund to commission the services of a creative professional who can offer new areas of expertise to help solve their particular business challenge.

Creative Suppliers from these regions are also invited to submit online applications to register for the 4CNW Creative Directory. The directory is a unique European service innovation that will list and map Creative Suppliers across the Celtic Crescent region. All successful Creative applicants to the directory will be eligible for commissioning by a successful voucher recipient, thus creating new clients and new income streams. Applications for Creatives remain open until 12noon on 8th March 2013.
